"MAZGAON DOCK APPRENTICES ALUMNI" :- upto 2009.

Some of us meet daily at office or in line of duty, others are meeting after decades. Some " Alumni-Marine Apprentices" are still in the profession, some have diversified into other professions.Photographs of many "Ex-Mazdock Alumni Apprentices" are not in my personal blog as these photographs have been taken at random during the "Alumni Get-Togethers".Biju.J.karian whom i have known since the age of 8 from "Christ Church school(Byculla)", whose father got me admission into the " 4 Year-Marine Engineer Apprentice Course(1978-1982)" has never attended a single "Alumni-Gettogether" as have numerous other "Mazdock alumni" due to different city residences or either being busy on a sailing ship, hence never photographed in the "Alumni Get-togethers". A few of our "Mazdock Alumni Batchmates" have departed into the after life and with every passing year we all realise the joys of living life to the best of opportunities and at least meeting at the "Annual Mazdock alumni Get-together", whenever possible. . Some are millionaire "Marine Engineers" ,some are "Pillars of the Indian Marine Industry Administration" while some are average mariners earning a normal living.Ultimately, it takes all types of Marine engineers with different educational degrees to keep the Ocean transport Industry afloat and functional. Its ultimately the "MAZDOCK APPRENTICESHIP COURSE OF 4 YEARS" that binds us all together. MEMORIES OF AN ERA THAT CAN NEVER TURN THE CLOCK BACK BUT ALWAYS FORWARD WITH EVERY PASSING YEAR.
P.S:- These set of photographs are of 3 different "Mazdock Alumni Get-Togethers", beginning in 2007 when i first attended at "Matoshree Club(Mumbai)" and the latest being in 2009 held at "National Sports Club(Prince Hall),Mumbai" in 2009.The cost of tickets to the party were Rs 1000 but the most important aspect was the common meeting occasion of mariners from different city's, Country's and even vocations as a few "Marine apprentices" branched off into different occupations after a brief stint at sea.
To quote from the memorable song, "MEMORIES DON'T LEAVE LIKE PEOPLE DO, THEY ALWAYS STAY WITH YOU, WEATHER ITS ANY THING GOOD OR BAD".
Truely, memories of Mazdock years would always be a part of the memory of all its "Marine Engineering Alumni".
